Games and the Brain

An introduction to the brain, fMRI technology, and tools used to analyze fMRI data. Analyze neural substrates that support game play through hands-on work with functional magnetic resonance imaging data. Consider structured games and how they can be used to answer questions about the brain. Design an fMRI experiment to learn something new about the brain. Initial assignments will assess data quality and prepare it for later analyses using a general-linear-model framework. Open only to students in the FOCUS program. One course.
