Diachronic and synchronic approaches to the study of comparative linguistics in phonology, morphology, morphophonemics, syntax, and lexical categories in the context of the world's languages. Both Indo-European and non- Indo-European languages included. Topics include theories of reconstruction, languages in contact, abductive processes, and questions of linguistic typology.
