Language Evolution and Acquisition


Both the phylogeny and ontogeny of language, i.e., both the wide and growing variety of scripts for the evolution of language in the human species and the various approaches to the emergence of language in the individual. The emergence of language in the individual and the particular language(s) the individual is exposed to, making linguistic relativity an important topic. One course / 3 units.
